Rostra Troubleshooting Tips: 250-9000 Cruise Control Switch Kit

  1. Check both the black and green wires with a meter for ground resistance no higher than 3 ohms.
  2. Check the red wire for igntion voltage of 12-volts.
  3. With everything included in the kit connected, check the white for the following voltages at the cruise control module:
  4. Off: 5-volts on white wire coming from the ECM.

    On: 3.7-volts on the white wire.

    On with Set pressed: 2.2-volts on the white wire.

    On with Resume pressed: 2.8-volts on the white wire.

  5. Follow the instructions on Form #5065 for 2006 Chevrolet Aveo and Pontiac Wave
  6. If there is any voltage not shown, replace the cruise control kit.
