Comprised of three product lines - Cruise Control, Cruise Control with Voluntary Speed-Limiting, and Speed-Limiters, these devices offer fleet owners the following benefits:

Cruise Control - Part Number 250-9668

Rostra's add-on cruise control systems provide a traditional cruise control experience where a driver can set a desired highway speed and the all-electronic cruise control system will communicate with the vehicle's accelerator pedal to hold that speed until the driver decides to slow down, speed up, or disengage the cruise control altogether. The 250-9668 cruise control system includes a left-hand column-mount control switch with buttons for On/Off, Set/Coast, Resume/Accelerate, and includes an integrated LED which illuminates when the system is powered on.

Cruise Control with Voluntary Speed-Limiter - Part Number 250-9668-NS

Rostra's add-on cruise control systems with voluntary speed-limiters offer all the same benefits of the traditional cruise control system mentioned above with three key differences:

• A redesigned and modernized control switch is included to better match the interior of modern cars which also gives access to the features below.
• Voluntary speed-limiting allows the driver to set a maximum speed that the vehicle will not actively accelerate past until disengaged by the driver. Ideal for use when a driver is in an unfamiliar area and does not want to accidentally go above a certain speed.
• Built-in memory units allow the driver to save two preferred driving speeds into the control module's long-term memory to access at the touch of a button. For example, if the driver navigates a certain section of highway each day where the speed limit changes between two speeds (45 MPH and 65 MPH, as an example), they can program the first memory unit for 45 MPH and the second for 65 MPH. The driver can press the MEM1 button to accelerate the truck to 45 MPH when they reach that stretch of road each day and can then press the MEM2 button to accelerate to 65 MPH when needed without needing to manipulate the gas pedal or use the Set/Cruise function on the control switch. Programming set speeds is effortless and is detailed in the included installation manual.

Hard-Wired Speed-Limiter - Multiple Part Numbers (See Below)

Rostra's hard-wired speed-limiters differ from the two types of cruise control systems mentioned above in that their purpose is to limit the maximum speed of a vehicle to a fleet manager's desired max speed with no way for the driver to go past that set speed once installed. Rostra's speed-limiters have the potential to save fleet owner's money by helping to avoid speeding infractions, reduce fuel consumption from "lead foot" drivers, and reduce maintenance costs by lessening vehicle wear-and-tear - all without the need to purchase or subscribe to a costly telematics service. Speed-limiters are offered with hard-coded limits of 65 MPH, 70 MPH, 75 MPH, and 80 MPH with custom speed limits available for large fleet orders. See part numbers below for descriptions:
