Rostra Precision Controls, Inc. has been supplying both original equipment and aftermarket transmission products for over fifty years.

In the beginning, there were names like Scovill Manufacturing and Century Brass producing vacuum operated transmission modulators in a small town in central Connecticut. As times got harder for both of these companies, Rostra stepped to rescue several product lines that seemed to have future growth potential. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 1991, Rostra acquired the electronic products division of Dana Incorporated located in Laurinburg, North Carolina. This acquisition was the springboard necessary for building a solid foundation in automotive electronic manufacturing.

Rostra Engineers realized many years ago that, as automatic transmissions become more complex, the demand for high quality replacement parts would be a key factor in the success of an entire industry.

With this in mind, we set out to build an entire line of drivetrain related electronic control components. Our current product offering consists of transmission solenoids for the most popular North American and Asian produced vehicles, wire harnesses, pressure switch manifolds, transmission controllers and testing equipment.
