Rostra Precision Controls Wins 2011 Top 10 Transmission Shop Products Award

Laurinburg, NC - Transmission Digest Magazine has announced that Rostra Precision Controls has been chosen to receive the prestigious Top 10 Transmission Shop Products award for their recently released AW55-50 Linear Solenoid.

According to Bobby Mace, Publisher of Transmission Digest, they asked their readers to vote for their favorite tools and products from among those nominated by manufacturers and distributors serving the powertrain aftermarket. Nominations were announced in their October issue and the results of the readers' balloting will be announced in the February issue.

In a joint development venture between Rostra Precision Controls and Sonnax Industries, a new replacement linear solenoid product line has been developed for aftermarket transmission rebuilders. According to Tom Eibel, Rostra's V.P. of Sales & Marketing, "This is a product borne out of the realization of a pure need; no one could buy the parts and we recognized the absence of an affordable solution to the aftermarket that is more effective than just cleaning the solenoid and far less expensive than replacing the entire valve body".

The AW55-50 Linear Solenoids are supplied through Rostra's aftermarket specialty transmission distribution channel. Tom Eibel will be presented with the recognition plaque at Showpower 2011, March 17-19, in Indianapolis.
