Aftermarket Controls Corporation Names A. Mark Oakes Vice President of Operations

WIXOM, Mich., Aftermarket Controls Corporation (ACC), manufacturer of OEM and aftermarket automotive parts and accessories, has appointed A. Mark Oakes as Vice President of Operations.

In his new position, Oakes will be responsible for leading the company's manufacturing and distribution operation in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He is a 25 year veteran of the automotive Tier 1 and 2 supplier industry specializing in actuator, sensor, switch, and electronic products. He joins ACC with sought after progressive management experiences, including manufacturing operations, strategic planning, marketing, engineering, quality systems, supply chain management, acquisition integration, and manufacturing transfer projects. Prior to joining ACC, Oakes was with Stoneridge, Inc where he served in various posts from General Manager of their Actuator Products Division, then as Group V.P and General Manager of Hi-Stat Manufacturing, and most recently as Chairman and General Manager in Shanghai, China where he led the start-up of their wholly-owned manufacturing and supplier development operations.

Oakes received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University. He currently resides in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
